Tonga Education Support Programme: Curriculum Reform

The signing of the contract between Ministry of Education and Uniquest Pty Ltd (owned by the University of Queensland) marks the first step in the implementation of SDP8’s education strategies. Uniquest Pty Ltd will start work on reforming the current curriculum as directed by SDP8 Sub-Strategy 1.1 on education “Reform the current curriculum.”

Ministry of Training, Employment, Youth and Sport: Micro-Enterprise Development
As part of the government restructure last year, the Ministry of Training, Employment, Youth and Sport was created. A primary objective of the new ministry is to address the rising problem of youth unemployment in the Kingdom. One of the ministry's current projects aimed at address the unemployment problem is the ADB’s youth micro-enterprise development project.
