Rodzilla Reclaims Tongan Citizenship

 Rodney (Rodzilla) Christopher Lamangino Blake, the former powerful Wallaby and Queensland Reds loosehead prop, has reclaimed his Tongan citizenship in a ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Office today, attended by the Hon Prime Minister, Dr. Feleti Vaka’uta Sevele and members of Rodney’s extended family.

Dual citizenship legislation to be finalised in next session of Parliament
The Act to enable Tongans to hold dual citizenship was submitted to Parliament last year, where it was passed after its second reading, but was not yet read a third time as required by the regulations, due to the disruption in the work of the House last November.
