18th October 2021 The newest version of the Tonga Trade information website was launched during Tonga’s first Trade Week 2021 from 24th-27th August 2021, available on the link tonga.tradeportal.org
The website is provided to assist all exporters and importers with step-by-step guides on required licenses, pre-clearance permits, and clearance formalities for most commonly traded goods into and out of Tonga.
The site is linked to the main Pacific Trade Portal Project found on pacifc.tradeportal.org created through the Regional Trade Information Portal (TIP). in light of new trade opportunities such as PACER Plus. Similar sub-portals for other Pacific Island countries trade information can be found on this website.
Our trade team stands ready to support any importer and exporter enquiries as required.
The Tonga Trade website was initially launched in September 2019, and the updated version now includes 18 new products and even provides information for the movement of natural persons.
The website was implemented by the Government of Tonga with technical assistance from UNCTAD and funded by the governments of Australia and New Zealand.
